Movement & body support for pregnancy & postpartum
I offer one-on-one sessions that include both gentle, guided movement and hands-on bodywork, depending on your needs and preferences.
These sessions are informed by my background as a dancer, certified personal trainer, Pilates and yoga instructor, and registered somatic movement therapist, helping you feel more comfortable during pregnancy, prepare your body for birth, and support postpartum healing.

Prenatal Movement Session
As a dancer, I know how beneficial it is to feel strong, and connected to your body during pregnancy. A somatically informed teaching style is my approach to helping you prepare for birth by working with your body — not against it.
Pregnancy brings constant physical and emotional changes, and your movement practices often need to shift and adapt along the way. Rather than focusing on “staying in shape,” my approach supports you in moving in ways that feel good, reduce discomfort, and prepare your body for birth.
Together, we explore movement that supports:
• alignment and balance in the body
• optimal pelvic positioning for baby’s descent
• mobility and space in the hips and pelvis
• strength and stability for pregnancy and postpartum
• awareness of tension and how to release it
You’ll learn simple, effective movement sequences and body-based tools that you can use throughout pregnancy — and during labor — to support comfort and progress.
Each session is tailored to your body, your needs, and how you’re feeling that day.
Over time, this work helps you build a deeper sense of body awareness and intuition, so you can better understand what your body is asking for and respond in a way that feels supportive and grounding.
Somatic Bodywork Session
Bodywork supports flow in the body while releasing stress and holding patterns created by improper alignment, trauma or other ailments (chronic or accute). This is hands-on bodywork, but unlike traditional massage, it’s guided by what your body needs in the moment. I listen with my hands and respond intuitively, allowing space for tension to release and the body to come back into balance.
Prenatal Bodywork
During pregnancy, your body is constantly adapting. Changes in posture and alignment can create discomfort, especially in the hips, pelvis, and low back.
Prenatal bodywork can help:
• relieve physical tension and discomfort
• support alignment as your body changes
• reduce stress and promote relaxation
• create space and ease in the body
This work elicits a greater sense of calm and clarity as you prepare for birth and set birth intentions.
Postpartum Bodywork
After birth, your body is in a period of recovery and transition.
Postpartum bodywork offers gentle support to help your body release, reset, and integrate after pregnancy and birth.
This may help:
• release stored tension and holding patterns
• support physical recovery and realignment
• ease stress and emotional overwhelm
• create space to process and integrate your birth experience
• support your transition into motherhood (or growing your family)
What to Expect from Somatic Bodywork
Sessions are gentle, personalized, and guided by what your body needs. These sessions are an opportunity to slow down and step out of the constant demands of daily life. Many clients find that creating space for rest and relaxation allows their body to release holding patterns more easily and regulate their nervous system.
We may incorporate:
- movement and mobility work
- hands-on bodywork
- breath and awareness
- alignment support
- guided relaxation to help your body release tension and settle into a more restful state
During postpartum sessions, your baby is always welcome to stay close — in your arms or with you — so you can feel supported without being separated. Somatic bodywork is gentle enough during postpartum, even if you are recovering from a cesarean.
Bodywork sessions are done fully clothed. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is recommended.
